How not to lose an anal toy & what to do if one does 'get lost'

How not to lose an anal toy & what to do if one does 'get lost' - Sh! Women's Store

Losing the grip on an anal toy and having it disappear up the butt is the worst kind of sex toy nightmare - and we're sorry to say it can (and does) happen... Like for this woman, who got a sex toy stuck in her butt

The ony way to avoid ending up in A&E with a lost toy is to play with safe anal toys only.

Read on for our advice on how to play with anal toys safely - and what to do in the unfortuante event of losing one...

Anal sex toy safety

The butt is a hungry beast, and if you give it the tiniest chance to suck up an object, it will happily take you up on it. Unlike the vagina, which has a built-in stopper in the cervix, the anus doesn't have a natural stop point. This means objects can get sucked up and...get lost.

Toys for anal play have a flared base, a large ring or a handle. This is a safety feature and prevents the toys from slipping inside. Even so; always keep a firm grip on your toy for extra safety. When it comes to your butt, you can't be too careful.

Lube is essential for comfortable and pain-free anal play, but be careful when applying the slippery stuff. Coat the anal area and the insertable portion of the toy, but wipe off excess. The anus, when really enjoying itself, can open up to an eye-boggling degree, and a toy can slip and get lost if your hands and toy are too slippery for a secure grip.

Here is an expample of safe anal toys - with flared bases and loop handles to slip a finger through for extra safety.

What to do if you loose an anal toy inside

If a sex toy does get lost up there - don't panic! (Well, we know you will, but it's better to try and keep calm.)

You have gravity and a natural inclination to bear down on your side. Breathe deeply and evenly, sit on the loo and gently push down. Take your time.

If you keep your head cool and try not to seize up in a panic, there is a good chance that the toy will move down and evacuate.

If your toy stubbornly refuses to move down far enough for you to push it out or slide a finger in to try and coach it out, you need help.

Accident & Emergency Dept is the next step.

Embarrassing, yes - but so much better than causing real damage. The medical staff will no doubt have seen this before. Their goal will be to get the toy out as soon as possible, with as little damage as possible.
