Wednesday on Thursday

WednesdayThere are rumours that the coffee guy has “a thing” about words.

Shrugging off her friend’s concern about the way the man in the cafe stares at her every lunch hour, Wednesday can’t see how his love of words could possibly be hazardous.

The fact is, Wednesday rather enjoys being the centre of an attractive man’s undivided attention. His dark blue eyes alone have provided her with many delicious erotic fantasies, a welcome distraction from the pressures of the real world and a dull job.

It’s totally harmless…

…until there’s an accident with a cup of coffee.

After soaking Wednesday with a hot latte, the coffee guy’s attention suddenly becomes far more enticing—and dangerous.

Drawn into a bizarre world of human behavioural research, where crosswords are used to initiate sexual experiments, Wednesday finds herself driven, not by a desire to further scientific research, but by the need to be rewarded for her hard work by the coffee guy’s captivating research assistant.

A stunning redhead by the name of Thursday…

Under the tutelage of the dominatrix, Miss Sarah, Jess learns to cope with her unexpected training schedule, the increasingly erotic chill she experiences each time she survives a new level of correction, and a truly sexy exercise routine.

Tips to Help You Make the Most Out of Reading Erotica

By K D Grace & Kay Jaybee

Read Erotica Surrounded by Your Fav Sex Toys

KD: Whenever possible, read erotica with your feet up, surrounded by your favourite sex toys. This will remind you of the versatility of erotica. If you’re in it to play, well you already ready! If you’re in it for a good read, you’ve assumed the most comfy, readerly position. If you’re in it for both, it’s a great way to practice multi-tasking.

KJB: Of course- when we say toys, we are not talking cuddly bears here!

KD: Yeah! Right! Cuddly bears *Sniggers behind fingers*

2. Read Erotica in Public

KD: Never miss an opportunity to read erotica in a public place. With the new subtle covers and with eReaders, only YOU will know how much fun you’re having, and you’ll be having a lot more fun for being naughty in public.

KJB: It is great to read on the bus or tube- there is so much salacious pleasure to gain from doing anything in secret. Who said the process of reading itself shouldn’t be sexy!

Share the Erotica Pleasure

KD: Erotica is twice as much fun when you share it. Try taking turns reading it out loud to your lover and enjoy the heatwave!

KJB: And of course, if you both simply want to listen to keep those hands free, there are always audiobooks!

KD: Oh yes! Aural pleasure at its technological best!

Remember – Erotica is Fantasy!

KD: Lock your inhibitions away when you read erotica. Remember, it’s total fantasy, a fantastic opportunity to get hot and bothered over some totally different kink. It’s a chance to be sexually adventurous safely.

KJB: After all, when you’re in the world created by an erotica writer, you can be anyone you want to be!

Relish the Experience

KD: Enjoy! The erotica experience is where the written word and the human body collide with deliciously sizzling results. Take full advantage of the sizzle and have a great time!

Come to an Erotic Book Reading

KJB: So when you come to a Sh! reading, how can you make the most of the experience? Well, grab a glass of fizz, and let your eyes wander over all the beautiful toys and books on offer…then while you’re listening to the stories, you can contemplate if any of the playthings you’ve seen on the shelves, might be nice to accompany some more of the tale once you get home to read it yourself!

KD: And that glass of fizz is extremely important because it’s thirsty work listening to naughty stories surrounded by titillating toys!

KJB: If this is your first visit to sex shop, then fear not! Walking into a shop that focuses on sex can be scary the first time- but it isn’t a frightening place at all. We are a friendly bunch- look at us- just ordinary folk – who just happen to have over the top imaginations!

KD: And the Sh! Ladiez with their lovely smiles are absolutely the go-to-girls for any questions you have. Or for a caffeine filled cuppa, or a top-up to your fizz.

KJB: So why not come along- sit back, loosen your corset (although not too much, because a little discomfort rubs well with a little pleasure), nibble a cup cake, sip that fizz, and open your ears, and let our naughty words work their magic!

KD: Throw in the odd bit of spanking (only as needed, of course) and a night of readings at Sh! is a feast for all the senses!

If you’d like to join us for an Erotic Reading check out Twitter or our blog for details of the next event.

Free Erotica – A Leading Conversation by Kay Jaybee

Today is International Women’s Day, and we’re celebrating with a hot Free Erotic Friday treat from one of the sassiest women we know, Kay Jaybee!

Kay is a regular reader at our erotic book evenings, here at Sh! and we always look forward to her visits (no surprise ~ last time one of her guests turned up with chocolate cake!), and we’re delighted to announce she will be here in person on Saturday 20th April along with KD Grace for a fantastically saucy DOUBLE BOOK LAUNCH!

Frequently referred to as the ‘Queen of Kink’ and the ‘Mistress of BDSM’ Kay is the author of the Fem Dom novels, Making Him Wait and The Perfect Submissive, the threesome BDSM romance The Voyeur, and the erotic novella romances, A Sticky Situation and Digging Deep for the Xcite Secret Library. Kay has also written the erotic anthologies, Tied to the Kitchen Sink, Equipment, Yes Ma’am, Quick Kink One, Quick Kink Two, and The Best of Kay Jaybee:

The Best of Kay Jaybee

Fourteen of the very best erotic tales of dominance, submission, bondage, and romantic lust, are delivered with lashings of kink from the pen of Kay Jaybee. From the sexual adventures recalled by a woman as she stares at her favourite shirt, to a deliciously dirty orgy on a bed of cardboard boxes, the after-hours education of a rookie soldier, and the bizarre obsession of an Egyptologist, each story shows why Kay Jaybee has been hailed as ‘a master of the craft of erotica’ (Oysters and Chocolate). As a girl writes messages of lust on the body of her best friend’s lover, and a mistress’s employment of ropes and chains on her slave co-insides with the application of emulsion, we discover just how Kay has earned her reputation for producing ‘super-heated kinky stories,’ (Kd Grace), which are ‘a sublime pleasure to read’ (Violet Blue).

Here’s one of those 14 stories for you! Enjoy!

A Leading Conversation

‘What would you do next?’ Faye’s voice had lost the cool indifference she’d been determined to maintain. ‘After you’d stripped me?’

‘Well, obviously I’d bend you over and spank you – hard.’

‘Really? What with?’

‘My belt.’

‘Your leather one? About an inch thick?’ Faye could picture it clearly; faded, worn and brown, with a twisted knot pattern inlaid through its length. She shivered at the mere thought of it.

‘That’s the one.’

‘What am I bent over?’

Sean was silent for a while and Faye could faintly hear movement around him. It hadn’t occurred to her that this call was being made in public. She broke through his concentration, her tone husky and urgent, ‘Where are you anyway?’

‘I’m in a deserted waiting room on Banbury Station – and you, for the purposes of a much deserved spanking, are bent over the foot of your bed. Plus, I’ve just decided I will tie your wrists together in front of you.’

Despite the two mugs of coffee she’d recently downed, Faye’s mouth felt dry. She couldn’t believe how assertive Sean sounded, particularly as anyone could walk in on him at any moment. She wasn’t even sure how this conversation had started. He’d been in an odd mood he’d said, sort of horny with nowhere to go and no one to shag, and for a reason Faye didn’t understand, she had asked him what he’d like to do if he could. Sean hadn’t even hesitated before blurting out that he’d like to see her naked.

From her oldest friend’s rather startling confession only five minutes ago, they’d somehow got to Faye being naked, semi-bound with her arse in the air, awaiting the first stroke of his belt.

Her mind raced; was he just messing around? Would he end this with a laugh, and leave her feeling silly and privately humiliated for taking him literally? Or could he actually be serious, could he really want to do this to her?

‘Faye, are you still there?’ Sean’s voice interrupted her violently flickering thoughts, simultaneously reassuring Faye that he was serious, yet making her wonder if he was regretting sharing his fantasy.

‘I’m here.’ She licked her lips, abandoning any lingering ideas about remaining aloof. ‘What happens next?’

‘I hit you. The leather makes a fantastic cracking sound as it connects with your skin, and the belt leaves a pretty pink patch on your flesh. I love it, so I do it again.’

For the first time, Faye noticed that Sean’s breathing had become shallow and felt further reassured. She began to chew her bottom lip as she asked, ‘Am I crying out?’

‘Yes, but I don’t want you to, so I’ve paused in my work to fetch a gag.’

‘A scarf?’

‘I have a ball gag.’

Faye’s heartbeat quickened at the confession, and she couldn’t keep the surprise from her voice, ‘You do?’

She was learning an awful lot this morning about this man she thought she’d known so well. This was a new Sean, an attractive stranger who had very grown-up sex toys. She would never have associated him with anything like that before now. ‘May I still ask questions – now that I am gagged, so to speak?’

Sean went quiet again and Faye could faintly hear the echoing squeak of a train’s arrival being announced over a tannoy. As the noise died away, he said, ‘No. I think you should just listen to me for a while.’

Faye almost said ‘OK’ but stopped herself. After all, Sean had already metaphorically silenced her. She wiped her palms on her jeans and looked around her while she waited for him to speak again. She tried to take in the view before her; the park, the trees, the ducks on the pond, but all she was conscious of was a desperate need to hear Sean’s voice again. A new need, that during all the years of knowing him, she had never even considered as a possibility. Now though, as she sat on the dew-dampened bench, Faye felt her nipples stiffen and push at the insides of her white cotton bra, aware that her matching panties were getting stickier with every moment.

At last he continued, ‘I’m still hitting you.’ Sean’s voice was deeper now, more intense. ‘Your body is flinching with each blow as I build up an attractive criss-cross pattern of marks on your buttocks.

‘After ten strokes I come around to examine your face. There are tears at the corners of your wide blue eyes, and the gag is dotted with dribble. You look at me pleadingly, your face partially obscured by your blonde hair, but I’m convinced you don’t want me to stop. You want more.’

Faye closed her eyes and gripped her mobile phone harder, blanking out everything but the sound of his gravelly voice, and the rapid pounding of her pulse.

‘I strip off really quickly, so you can see how hard I am, how much I want you. Then I go back to your arse and smack you some more, but with my hand this time.’

Faye was grateful she wasn’t allowed to talk. What would she say anyway? Behind her closed eyelids the picture was so clear. She could see Sean, naked and powerful, his six-foot frame towering over her shorter, prone body. His cropped ginger hair, spiked with a little too much gel, the Celtic cross tattoo flexing on his forearm as he raised it to smack her …

Her backside felt bruised against the wooden bench, as if some of the described blows had really been inflicted, or perhaps in anticipation of the fact that one day, they might be.

Sean interrupted Faye’s superbly painful, erotic imaginings. ‘I’ve stopped now. I’m pulling you to your feet. I have to hold you steady for a moment because all the blood has rushed to your head.

‘I’m staring at your chest. It’s perfect. Your nipples are hard. I inhale one into my mouth, and roll my tongue between the slightly rough areola and your soft tits.’

Faye let out a moan; she couldn’t help it, her breasts had begun to physically ache from neglect.

‘You like that, I can tell. I like it too, but I don’t want to rush things. Ten years I’ve waited for this, and I don’t want it to end yet.’

Sean’s tone cracked and faltered. Faye guessed he was trying to gather himself before he carried on. She wondered if his dick was hard, trapped, a prisoner against his jeans, just as her own clit was throbbing helplessly inside her own denims.

She could hear her friend take a lungful of air before he continued, ‘I undo the gag and kiss you. Fiercely, properly, for the first time since this began. You kneel, and take my cock in your mouth. Fuck it’s good. Too good, and I …’

A loud rushing sound drowned out Sean’s voice. Faye could have wept. She wanted to ask what she’d missed him say as the train shot by, but Sean was in full flow, caught up in the physically unfelt touch of his vision. As the noise subsided, Faye realised that, in those few vital seconds, things had moved on quickly.

‘… it’s so hard to decide. I want to do everything at once; I want it to be perfect. So, in the end, I hedge my bets.’

Faye almost yelled out, ‘What’s so hard to decide?’ but just at that moment a group of tourists wandered past her bench, and she bit back her query and simply listened.

‘I undo your wrists and position you on your hands and knees. Then I select a small butt-plug from my collection and slowly insert it in your bruised arse. You groan, but it’s obvious that the feeling is good.’

Faye visibly quivered. She did like that; she’d always liked her butt being filled, but how on earth did Sean know?

Sean’s speech was becoming more hurried all the time, and Faye leant forward, tense, straining to make sure she didn’t miss anything else he said. ‘Then I take a pocket vibrator and place it over your clit. Your whole body starts to jump and, seeing you like that, so turned on, so ready for me, I can’t deny you. I push into you, keeping the vibrator in place with one hand, and supporting myself with the other.

‘I can’t describe how it feels, you’re so tight, and bloody hell …’ Sean stopped, his hoarse voice dropping to a whisper, ‘I’d like to be able to though, describe it properly I mean.’

Faye couldn’t speak, her whole body felt taut, robbed. She desperately wanted him to describe it, to make up what happened next. She’d been so close to coming, as she perched on the bench, in the middle of a public park, simply listening to her oldest friend’s voice.

‘Faye?’ Sean spoke softly, sounding concerned, his self-confidence temporarily shaken. ‘Are you still there?’

She gulped, fighting back tears, and the feeling that she’d been deliberately left hanging, her cry of ‘Sean?’ sounding like a plea.

‘My train is coming, I can see it approaching. I’ll probably lose the signal soon. I’ll have to go, I …’

‘Sean?’ Faye felt anticlimax sweep across her.

‘Yes?’

‘Where is the train heading?’

‘To you.’

Faye let out a pent-up breath, such was the sexual static buzzing down the phone line; she hadn’t even realised she’d been holding it in. ‘I’ll be at home. The front door will be unlocked.’

Sean was walking now. Faye could hear the changes to the atmosphere around him as he left the waiting room, crossed the station, and entered the quiet hum of the train carriage. Determined assurance had returned to his voice, as if he felt vindicated at his decision to tell her how he felt. ‘I want to find you in the bedroom.’

‘Clothed or naked?’ A passerby raised an eyebrow at Faye as she stood up and moved away from the bench.

‘Just underwear.’

‘When do you arrive?’

‘In about three hours.’

‘That’s an eternity!’

‘It is with a hard-on like mine!’

Faye laughed, some of the tension draining out of her as she headed home. ‘Don’t worry; I’ll see to that, just you wait.’ A thrill of expectation rippled down Faye’s spine as she heard Sean muffle a moan of frustration, giving her the nerve to say, ‘I would never have associated you with those special toys you mentioned, I don’t suppose you have any of them with you?’

Faye could visualise the twinkle in his familiar green eyes, and the mischievous smile on Sean’s face as he replied, ‘Actually, I have packed with immense care, covering every eventuality. Oh, yes, and just so you know, I’m wearing my leather belt as well …’

Kay Jaybee – Guest Blogger

Guest Blog by Kay Jaybee

I am so looking forward to the weekend of 6th-7th July!

Not only do I get to travel to London to launch the paperback edition of my BDSM novel The Perfect Submissive (7th July), but I am also part of the team of erotica writer’s reading from the super hot anthology Best Women’s Erotica 2012 (6th July).

I’ve been privileged enough to be asked to read my stories at Sh! on a number of occasions over the past few years, and I just love it!

Last year I teased the audience with short shots from The Perfect Submissive when it came out as an e-book- but now you get the chance to purchase the book itself, and hold its pages in your hot little hands!

Catering for the bondage, submissive, and corrective corner of the market, The Perfect Submissive can’t be pigeon holed into just the straight, lesbian or the bi genre, as it covers all of those lovely possibilities in one go!!

Very much tilted towards those who enjoy the darker side of BSDM fiction, the plot centres on a young woman called Jess Sanders; a newly employed bookings clerk at the Fables Hotel. Outwardly Fables is like any other hotel, but hidden away on the fifth floor lies a very adult entertainment facility.

The moment the manageress, Mrs Laura Peters, lays eyes on Jess; she sees her potential as an extra sexily meek attraction for her regular clients. All it will take is a little erotic education.

Gliding around her domain, Laura Peters keeps an intimidating eye on both staff and customers alike, as they experience the tortures and delights hidden behind four of the floors’ five doors. To discover what lies behind the locked fifth door, Jess will have to come to terms with the unexpected training schedule she finds herself embarking upon, and the increasingly arousing chill she feels each time she survives a new punishment.

This novel, like so many of my stories, takes a tip toe (well, a giant leap)into the world of S&M, complete with whips, chains, blindfolds and the requirement that every character should develop a great deal of endurance related patience before they even get close to being allowed a climax.

It will no therefore, be a great surprise to you to know that the story I will be reading from Violet Blue’s Best Women’s Erotica 2012, is also of the kinky persuasion. While ‘Bad’ is not heavy BDSM, it certainly sends a woman with a deliciously secret sex life into an S&M adventure…

Why not come along and join my peers and I at both events at Sh! Hoxton – it would to see you there, to hear a naughty word or two, sip some champers, and nibble some cake…

Sh! – Hardly A Quiet Experience

Guest Blog By Lucy Felthouse

Not being from the UK’s fair capital, my visits to Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium are sadly few and far between. However, I’ve been to erotic book readings, both as attendee and the entertainment. Each time, I’ve been astounded by the atmosphere.

Sh! is not a shop  you slink into after looking furtively to see if anyone’s seen you. People walk in, excited, confident and happy. And why shouldn’t they? The Sh! stores are for women (mainly – men are allowed in with partners, or on special Gents’ evenings) and run by women. They’re classy, chic, cool and friendly.

Despite all of this, I was terrified when it was time for me to read my piece during the inaugural Uniform Behaviour reading at Sh! Portobello. The book was my first editing project, so as well as having to read smut to strangers, it was my “baby” being promoted. I was joined by Rebecca Bond (another nervous first-time reader) and Victoria Blisse, both of whom read snippets of their stories from the erotic anthology (of which a percentage of the proceeds goes to UK charity Help for Heroes, yet another great reason to buy!). The beautiful Kay Jaybee read tasty tidbits from her books The Perfect Submissive and Yes Ma’am.

As for my terror, it did eventually subside. This was helped a little by alcohol, and a lot by the atmosphere. It was typical Sh! – positive, happy and supportive. I remembered people were there because they wanted to be and there would be no hecklers. The lovely Renee was awesome too – stepping up with lovely introductions for the readers and the books, and keeping the Q&A session going when others were too shy to pipe up.

All in all, the event was a success. It was fun, and a great experience for everyone involved. That is the power of Sh! and the lovely ladies that run it.

Thank you to all of you! I can’t wait to venture over your thresholds again, either as a reader or an avid listener. You guys rock!

*****

Do you get all weak-kneed at the sight of a grubby fireman or a hunky soldier? Perhaps immaculately-dressed waiting-on staff get you feeling frisky? If so, you’ve come to the right place.

Uniform Behaviour contains sixteen smutty stories about firemen, soldiers, sailors, police, security guards and even waiters, priests and cleaners!

Delve into this anthology and enjoy steamy stories from established erotica authors including Justine Elyot, Craig J Sorensen, Victoria Blisse, Shermaine Williams, Elizabeth Coldwell and Lucy Felthouse. Uniform Behaviour also proudly introduces some exciting debut authors. So remember, you saw them here first!

As well as being written and compiled for your titillation, this anthology is also designed to do good. A portion of the proceeds from Uniform Behaviour will be donated to UK charity Help for Heroes, which helps those wounded in current conflict.

Under the tutelage of the dominatrix, Miss Sarah, Jess learns to cope with her unexpected training schedule, the increasingly erotic chill she experiences each time she survives a new level of correction, and a truly sexy exercise routine.<P>
Temporarily distracted from her intimidating rule over Fable’s top floor by an enigmatic artist, Mrs Peters begins to plan how she can secure his obedient assistance, in grooming Jess into the perfect submissive…

In run-up to book launch at Sh!, we asked Kay to tell us more about being  Kay Jaybee

For the past 30+ years I’ve been me. Quite shy, very ordinary in my daily jeans and jumpers. Average height, average weight, average shoe size; average everything really.

For the past 6 years I’ve also been Kay Jaybee. She talks way too much, has an imagination that would make the staunchest voyeur blush , and wears short skirts, stockings, and knee high boots – although still of average height etc.

So – who am I really then? I confess there are more and more days when the lines between the two ‘me’s’ are blurred.

I have good friends who have no idea that I write sex scenes all morning. To them I’m exactly the person they have always known- wife, mother, administrator, and fulltime coffee drinker.

Kay reading at Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium

Via trips to read my stories at the wonderful Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium, and through the miracle of email and Facebook, I have made some amazing friends within the world of erotica. These good folk only know me as Kay Jaybee – writer of all styles of kink, and lover of all things sexy.

There is no denying that ‘being Kay’ has had a great affect on the real me. More than one friend, who knows of my double life, has commented that I have greater confidence these days; that I smile more, say riskier things, make people laugh more often, and even shock them. Then suddenly, sometimes in mid flow, I’ll disappear back into my shell and sit back, being the one who observes. The quiet one who takes it all in – the person I’ve always been.

As Kay I walk taller, and I am so much braver. I have done things I’d never thought I’d do,and visited places I never thought I’d go to. I’ve read totally dirty stories out loud to complete strangers. I have supped champagne with the editors of publishing houses and porn magazines, and I’ve discussed sex toys and the benefits of lube while eating pizza in a crowded restaurant. The real me would never do any of that!

Being Kay has it’s downsides of course. There will always be those who can’t tell the difference between people who write erotica, and people who prostitute themselves of an evening.I tire of the number of people who send me Facebook messages saying they’ve enjoyed one of my books, and then, if I reply with a thank you (for I am always glad I’ve made someone happy), see my response as a come on. Still, it least Kay can cope with that side of things- I certainly couldn’t without her!

So, who am I then?

Am I Kay hiding behind the guise of a respectable housewife, mum, and office worker? Or am I ‘me’ hiding behind the extrovert writer of smut? The girl who writes down words she’d never ever use in a conversation?

I can’t really answer the question. I often haven’t a clue who I’m supposed to be from one day to the next- but then, who does?! At least I’m lucky enough to have the luxury of choice. To have a brave persona to let me do the things I would never have the courage to do without good old Kay!
