Learning the Ropes at Sh!

Come along to Sh! and get all tied up!

We’re delighted to announce that rope bondage expert Rod Macdonald will be giving a series of evening workshops at Sh! Hoxton in December and January.

This coincides with Rod’s exhibition of erotic and fetish photography at Sh! Hoxton.

These introductory workshops are designed for couples, with a maximum of six couples in each session. The person with you could be your partner, or lover, or just a friend. (Please note, that in keeping with Sh’s GENT'S NITES policy, male couples will be very welcome at the workshop on Tuesday December 20.)

We’ll introduce you to the techniques of sensual, elegant, effective rope bondage, from simple wrist/ankle ties to more elaborate body harnesses.

There’ll be time for each of you to practice on the other if you want, rather than one of you always being the rigger, and the other always the ‘rope bunny’. You can use your own rope, buy some from Sh!, or borrow some from Rod for the evening.

For an unusual Christmas present, you can buy a place on the January workshop

The workshops will be two and a half hours long, starting at 6pm, on

Friday December 9,

Wednesday December 14,

Tuesday December 20, and

Wednesday January 25

What to wear: Rope bunnies should wear close-fitting T-shirt and leggings/shorts/yoga pants. The second half of the workshop includes body harnesses, where the rope passes between the rope bunny’s legs, so skirts/dresses aren’t suitable. There’s room to change at Sh!

Cost per couple: £45.00 If you’d like to do a workshop but don’t have someone to tie up, please contact Sh!, and we’ll do our best to find a ‘rope bunny’ to work with you, at an additional charge.

Spaces are limited and must be either booked in advance here or by calling our Hoxton Store on 020 7613 5458

As well as being an internationally exhibited erotic/fetish photographer, Rod Macdonald is an experienced bondage rigger and instructor, specialising in Japanese style ropework, often referred to as Shibari or Kinbaku. He’s taught bondage, and given bondage performances with his partner boykitten, all over the UK, and will also be running workshops in Lyon, France, in January.
