BURLEXE is the ‘Vagina Monologues’ of Burlesque: a brand new theatrical show based on the stories of the incredible women who’ve created burlesque, old and new. It fuses performance with storytelling, dancing with acting.
After 11 sell-out shows over the past 18 months, the Time Out Critics Choice show is now returning with a weekly residency from 27th March 2013 as a dramatic three-woman production starring r'n'b star Kele le Roc, British Burlesque Legend, Jo King, actress Chloe Ewart and la crème de la crème of the UK's burlesque scene in guest appearances.
The show’s monologues were created from and inspired by real-life interviews of contemporary burlesque performers as well as stories of the legends. Burlexe is about strong, powerful, amazing women. And it’s like nothing you’ve seen before…
We have two tickets up for grabs for Burlexe on 10th April at the Shadow Lounge in Soho, 7 for 7.30pm.
