How to Care for Your Sh! Super Stra-On Harness
A little care goes a long way—treat your harness well and it’ll stay beautiful for years.
Cleaning after use
Gently wipe with a soft cloth and a small drop of mild soap.
Use a clean, damp cloth to remove any residue.
Avoid soaking—water can damage leather.
Drying
Carefully dry D-rings and metal studs with paper towel.
Allow the harness to air dry naturally, away from direct heat.
Always ensure it’s fully dry before storing to prevent mould or rust.
Storing
Leather needs to breathe—avoid plastic bags or airtight containers.
Store somewhere cool, dry, and well ventilated.
Keeping the leather supple
Leather may stretch over time, especially with regular tightening.
Apply a leather conditioner or saddle soap every few months to keep it soft and flexible.
What not to do
Never machine wash or tumble dry. Gentle care only.
How to Change the O-Ring

Undo all four straps from the D-rings and set the back strap aside.

Remove the current O-ring.

Slide the two front straps out from under the slim riveted strap at the front.

Slide the two bottom straps out from under the slim strap at the base.

Remove the existing ring.

Choose your new O-ring.

Thread all four straps through the new ring.

Slide the bottom straps back under the lower slim strap so they lie flat.

Slide the front straps back into their original positions.

Reattach the back strap—connecting the bottom straps first makes this easier.

Flip back to the front and reconnect the front straps.
