Is Sex Painful? Its unlikely that your Lover is "too big"
Is sex a pain - quite literally? "Sometimes my boyfriend’s penis will just not fit and sex is painful " Whilst this question, posed by a Sh! customer, seems like the stuff of every male fantasy, pain during sex its actually quite a common and nothing for the fellas to write home about. ,The vagina is an amazing organ that is expandable (rather than an open space) so it's unlikely that a boyfriend's appendage is too big that's making sex a pain!! Just think what happens during childbirth. Much more likely is the fact that your body is not sufficiently aroused, relaxed or wet enough for pain-free penetrative sex at that time. A squirt from your trusty Lube bottle and lots, LOTS more foreplay. If this state never actually happens then, as hard as it might be - try not to worry. Anxiety will just cause your body to tense-up and turn sex-pleasure into sex pain.
Sometimes sex pain is more deep-rooted than simply not turned-on enough? There is a condition called Vaginismus, which causes the vaginal muscles to involuntarily constrict making sex painful or impossible. Vaginismus effects 100,000's of women and yet pain during sex due to vaginismus is rarely discussed and little understood. See our Sh! girlz advice section on Vaginismus.
