How you can take care of yourself and your toys
- As you may share your toy, use it anally and vaginally or be susceptible to allergies, we recommend using condoms on all toys
- Don't use high powered or alkaline batteries in your vibrator as they're often too strong, can cause your vibe to overheat and conk the motor out!!
- Do remove batteries when not in use. This will protect your toy from leaking battery sudden death.
- Don't remove the coil of paper that's sometimes found in cylindrical-type vibes. It's an important element in keeping the batteries in place.
- Be gentle of the cap/speed dial. With vibes that house their batteries inside, clicking shut the cap connect the batteries. Grip the fastened portion of the cap only and twist clockwise, until you feel a click.... Do not over-fasten or be heavy-handed otherwise you'll split the cap and loosen the speed dial.
- If your toy has a completely separate battery pack connected by a cable, pick up the whole thing together ... swinging your vibrator from its delicate little wires is a sure-fire way to bring on tears before bedtime!
- Keep your vibe clean but out of water - swishing it under the tap just wont do! Use a cloth moistened with a little soapy water and Dry thoroughly with a tissue. Take extra care never to allow water to get into the battery case otherwise its curtains for your vibrator.
- All dildos can be washed in hand-hot, soapy water. Silicone dildos are top-rack dishwasher safe. Dry toys cannot sustain germs so always dry-off thoroughly. Take care to avoid breaking the surface of your dildo (take care with teeth, jewellery and over-excited pets) ... once a crack has formed, it can tear quite easily, so do not let your dildo become the dogs dinner!
- Heat, leather and lube are a potential colour-run combination! Protect your sheets until you're sure your harness is absolutely colourfast. Cleaning & polishing will facilitate this. To clean your harness, sponge it with a mild soapy cloth and rinse with a plain water-dampened cloth. Dry flat away from direct heat. Any wrinkling of the leather can be gently ironed out, preferably whilst moistened with a leather conditioner.
- Be sure to store your clean and dry toys in a clean & dry place. Don't store your harness in a plastic bag otherwise it could go mouldy.
