But cost is not the only difference between a silicone and rubber dildo. With a dildo in each hand, its easy to feel the difference (less easy over the internet!).

A rubber dildo has a firmer, denser, heavier feel which some people prefer to silicone's softer, more yeilding feel. It's a latex-free, heat-responsive material: a rubber dildo will soften-up when warmed on a radiator or turn cool and rock-hard after time spent in the cooler.
